I have MRSA in the lung. My grandson [20 months] and his mum [my daughter] is coming to stay with us [my wife and I] for a week in mid-January. Should he come and, if so, what advice can you give ?

The only advice that I can give you is to ring NHS Direct on 0845 4647, they are available 24 hours for advice.

It is hard to give the correct medical advice as I am not a medical person, but I have learnt that the best advice I can give anyone is if you are unsure then air on the side of caution. I can fully understand your concerns and I am sure that you will take the necessary precautions to protect your grandson and I hope that NHS Direct will give you all the necessary advice.

They are independent from any hospital or primary care trust you are being treated by, so the advice will be impartial and honest.
