I have been in pain since the middle of September. I have had a number of test performed and continued to hit a wall. I went to the ER because I couldn't take it anymore. My symptoms were/are vomiting, diarhea, lower abdominal cramping, and nausea. I was diagnosed the first ER visit with gastritus and a week later the second visit with colitiz when they did a CT. The next day I went to a gastro and he scheduled me for a endo and coloscopy I was clean no gastritis or coloitis. I did stool samples and tested positive for MRSA and C-diff the ID spec. put me on vancomcin and the pain continued. I called the ID spec to ask if the pain and diarhea was normal while on the antibiotic he seemed clueless even suggested that maybe somethin else was wrong. Please help I'm 27 years old and have no clue what to do now. Any advice is greatly appreciated. I'm scared to death.

Tiffany -

It is imperative that you get your MRSA and C-diff under control, as unchecked this can lead to serious illness. I have been exactly where you are, therefore I'm providing my e-mail if you wish to contact me.

Please provide as much information as you can concerning antibiotics you have taken, whatever proactive measures you have taken, and how your MRSA infection is presenting (lesion outbreaks).

It is more than just plausible you have acquired C-diff due to antibiotic therapy you have participated in as your physicians attempt to kill the MRSA bacteria.

You're not alone in your battle Tiffany. Hope to hear from you, ease your mind a bit, and help get you on the road to feeling better soon.

If you decide to email me please put in subject: MRSA (Tiffany)
