Has anyone been diagnosed with MRSE? It is a staph infection that is
"Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus epidermidis" as opposed to MRSA
("aureus" instead of "epidermidis"). The infection is only slightly different. I was
infected when I had major surgery on my shoulder. My doctor tells me that there
is really no solid test to determine if it's still there, but it's now been two years
and scar is still warm and reddish. I'm exhausted every day. My heart goes out to
everyone who has posted here!

I know there are different strains of MRSA or MRSE. I'm not 100% sure which one
I have been fighting for almost 3 yrs. on my right upper arm. Looks like someone
took a torch and burned spots all over it. It definitely feels that way. I'm 29 and I
feel like an 80 yr old.

After my first outbreak went dormant, and I was diagnosed, the scars stayed
there and didn't fade one bit. They would redden and become more prominent
after I would shower bc of the heat, or even being outside in the heat they would
redden. And now for 9 months straight I have had non stop break outs all over my
arm. 3 months ago I thought it went dormant again, so I went and ran errands.
Well, I over did it and it literally broke out that evening. So I'm stuck on disability
now if I don't want to have it blister up again and feel like my arms on fire.

I have lost all my energy since I caught this and my headaches keep getting
worse every day, my joints hurt, I get foot cramps for the first time ever daily, I get
nausea, loss of appetite, every wonderful thing you can think of. I have new
insurance from when I first got diagnosed, so this new Dr tells me I'm crazy and
over reacting about acne. If you find a dr that you trust and who trusts you, stay
with them! But what your feeling is post symptoms bc of contracting that
superbug. I hope you get better! Stay strong and god bless!
